Sentinel Oncology wins European award

Sentinel Oncology recently received an award from Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) for their role in an SME consortium designed to discover and develop new treatments for leukaemia.

The award, which was presented at the opening ceremony of the Enterprise Europe Network's annual conference in Paphos on Monday 22nd October.

The award celebrates strong examples of SME collaborations which have received support from the Network. Sentinel Oncology is cooperating with Swedish SME, Biovica International following a successful application for funding under the Eurostars programme in 2011 after making initial contact through the EEN’s partnering service and database.

Stuart Travers, COO of Sentinel Oncology said ' It was a great honour to receive the award and since the grant was awarded, Sentinel Oncology has progressed one of its key programmes forward towards the clinic which would have been difficult without the funding we received.

Enterprise Europe Network made the process of identifying and contacting European SME's easy and we continue to benefit from their database and search capabilities.'
